Hello, I am an intermediate SQL and PL/SQL user and I am interested in becoming an Oracle Database Administrator. Could you provide me with a roadmap or step-by-step guide on how to become an Oracle DBA? Additionally, I would appreciate any recommendations on books or resources I can use to develop my skills in Oracle Database Administration. Thank you for your help.

1) Concepts guide. An overview of the Oracle architecture
2) 2-Day DBA. A rapid fire "get up to speed quickly" resource to get you started on the path of managing the database
3) The full DBA guide. Your reference for everything else.
Also - attend user group meetups, make contacts, get onto the forums, twitter, stackoverflow etc.... The more community contacts you make, the faster you learn, the less errors you make.
