You Asked

Hello Tom,

This is my first question here so I hope it won't be off topic.
"Windows Internals" written among many by Mark Russinovich, describes the very inner workings of the Miscrosoft OS software : Windows .
I learned a lot by reading Oracle's documentation (concepts, SQL Reference, Administrator guide, 2 DAYs series, etc...) but I really want to learn the Orcale database software as if I was learning from the Windows book I cited above.
The best book I found is "Oracle 8i Internal Services" by Steve Adams but as you see it is outdated and only aimed toward tunning and performance.

If there is a more comprehensive (not only about tunning and perforamnce) ressource, could you indicate it if at all available for the public ? or at least the most detailled ressource you could think of...

Thank You

Well there's always Tom's "Expert Oracle Database Architecture". The 3rd edition is updated to include 12c:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1430262982

Or you could check out Jonathan Lewis' "Oracle Core: Essential Internals for DBAs and Developers: Essential Internals for DBAs and Developers (Expert's Voice in Databases)"

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1430239549
