Tom,
Recently, I got into developing a web-site of my own where I could keep the contents (text, image etc.) inside the database and publish it through IIS or Apache. While doing so I came across many new features happening in the web world like RSS, XSLT, XFN,BLOG,CMS etc. In fact I see that your site is keeping with the time as it has also started RSS Feed.
My aim is to create one CMS (Content Management System) where I can allow people to upload, download, modify etc. the contents stored inside the database. So far I have experimented with mysql/php and some open sources for CMS like drupal, TYPO3 etc. I have not tried any Oracle related software to this effect.
I was wondering how can we use HTML DB to achieve the same or does Oracle have any such solution? Also, how close is Ultra Search to CMS?

We have Oracle Collaboration Suite -- here at Oracle, I store all of my "stuff" in a file system that is a database really. there is one single file server for all 45/50,000 of us. It is just a multi-terabyte database.
Using html db -- you can easily build a simple content mgmt system in minutes. See the files tab on my page above -- that is a tiny content mgmt system. It took about 5 minutes to put together.
So yes, since file upload and download is fully supported, doing something like that is pretty easy.
see htmldb.oracle.com if you want to start playing with this technology - but not have to worry about installing anything while you play around. It is all there just waiting for you to use it.
