I have a Merge statement, i got an error couple over weekend run. we did not get this error prior to last week and neither this week. just got this once.

valdoiated that there were no DDL's or DML's were done at the same time.

what could be the issue

If you are getting an ORA-8103 then 99% of the time an object was either dropped, truncated, moved or rebuilt.

In worst case, it could be a block corruption, but that is extremely unlikely.
