Hi good mourning heres my journey so far...
I am studying for the 170-071 using the typical udemy course and sybex cobo, I go for the software, 18c not enough mem, 19c sam issue, 11g ex non of the 12c commands works etc to outdated then we get to 12c, found a working download n tried it, remem0ved 11g ex n installed 12c,during the installation, you know how the newer 12c has no options to let you set up the dbase as well as sys users, then I go to sql pluys get adapter 12560 error and nothing helps because the services installed in services arent any of those files execpt for OracleRemV2 or something, like start stop ORCL or any of the other services files that comes 12 usually.THeres no thns names just sqlnet.ora. And theres no database folder installed as well, I originally tried from my ssd cause of space then tried to install on my hard disk same results... My question is, Is this a botched edition of 12c I cant find videos on what to do if the services arent listed or for any of the newer install methods. He offered for us to use live sql but it only covers 90% of the test and id like to have all the chips with a full ed. What tips could you offer new journeyman seeking to be dba in 20 21... n could you explain if we can use other versions to study for exams like 19c with 12c labs lol.

thanks.

I would download the 19c for Windows and install the *software*. Sample video here, although the version may now be more updated.

Then create the database as a second step, example here

That also shows you how you can control how much memory you allocate etc. SGA of 1.2G and PGA of 200M should be enough to get a database running
