Oracle 19c installation fails in my system.
When I click the setup I am getting an error "[INS-13001] Oracle Database is not supported on this operating system. Installer will not perform prerequisite checks on the system." and If I continue with this the installation exits in the 3rd step.
I am using windows 64 bit os win10.0.18363. Please help me to fix this.

Windows 64 bit is certainly supported (and I've got several 19c versions installed here on my laptop), so its surprising to see that message.

What happens if you avoid the check, ie?

./runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs -ignorePrereq

Ignoring check resulted in a not clean install

I ignored the check and continued and it did not allow me to apply the patch. Later had multiple issue with bin folder missing during the install

apply the patch? I thought you were installing the database.

I think we need to see more details here as to what you're doing.

Oracle 19c *definitely* runs on Windows 10

Installing Oracle 19c

Subha Sethuraman, February 25, 2022 - 1:45 am UTC

The earlier issue I had with opatch was due to Oracle 12 version that existed. So I deinstalled Oracle 12 and restarted my wndows machine and started Oracle 19c installation.
I first ran the setup.exe and chose to install software only. I got the same error that unsupported version of OS and skipping pre-requsite check.
I proceeded with the install.
When I ran DBCA in administration mode I get
DBT-50000 Unable to check for available memory.
I verified the log and the error message that I see is:
ResultSet AFTER adding ResultSet data ===>

See if you have a service called: OracleRemExecServiceV2 and check its details. A failed installation or old installation can leave that hanging around, and mess up newer install attempts.

If its there, try removing that service and trying again.
