Hi Guys,

Is there a function within Oracle which will review the words within a text string and convert them to present tense?

Thank you.

This is a hard problem. Assuming you're processing sentences, you need to take into account the context as well as the word.

For example, both of these include the word rose, but in different contexts:

The sun rose in the morning => rose is past tense of rise
She planted a rose => rose is a noun

I'm not aware of a function in Oracle Database that does this. You likely need some form of natural language processing engine.
