I was looking at this article https://blogs.oracle.com/machinelearning/post/oracle-data-miner-now-available-for-autonomous-database Is Data Miner also supported on ADW?

If so, I am looking for a tutorial to setup Oracle Data Miner to use with ADW. In particular, I am struggling with the setup of the data miner connection / user with SYS privileges to install the Data Miner Repository. I am using SQL developer 21.4.3.063 on MacOs.

Hi Christophe,

There are some specific instructions on how exactly to configure the Oracle Data Miner repository to work with Autonomous Database.  In particular, please follow these instructions very carefully.

The full documentation on that process is here:  https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/sql-developer/21.4/dmrig/installing-oracle-data-miner.html#GUID-1F85AC28-B76F-4D54-A882-575E0FD90036

Gotchas are:  You will only be able to install the repository if:

- You connect to the Autonomous Database with the ADMIN user

- You connect to the Autonomous Database with the LOW connection, since MEDIUM or HIGH will allow for parallelism that will break the installation scripts.  After the install of the Repository you can switch back to your preferred type of connection.

You can always reach out to Sherry.LaMonica@oracle.com in the OML team if you still have problems.

I hope this helps.
