We are organizing summit again - Oracle Database In-Memory Summit 2023.

You will also hear from Customers who will share their experiences and success using Database In-Memory. in addition, you will also hear from Thought Leaders on why In-Memory technology is a must have for Real-time Analytics. Join and ask questions or share your own experiences. Share your feedback and provide inputs to strategy and direction of Database In-Memory.

    Ranjan Priyadarshi   

    Ranjan is an energetic leader passionate about using Strategy and Innovation to address customer needs and solving business problems. Have experience working in Data and Analytics industry for 23 years especially working with large enterprise customers. Ranjan joined Oracle in December 2020, where he leads Product Management for Data and In-Memory Technologies. In the past, Ranjan has built several products and releases at Teradata by understanding customer needs, creating a vision, and then road-mapping it for success. He has led large cross-functional teams focused on delivering key business initiatives to the market. His unique domain expertise covers Cloud, Advanced Analytics, Data Management, and experience building Autonomous services. Apart from business expertise, he has 3 US patents as well. Ranjan has a Computer Science degree and MBA (from UCLA Anderson). Some other valuable education that helps him think out of the box are Disruptive Strategy (Harvard Extension), Design Thinking (MIT), and Building Innovative Teams (Stanford).

    Tirthankar Lahiri is Senior Vice President of the Data and In-Memory Technologies group for Oracle Database, responsible for the Oracle Database Engine (Including Tables and Indexes, In-Memory, Transactions), the Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database, and Oracle NoSQLDB. Tirthankar has 25 years of experience in the Database industry and has worked extensively in a variety of areas including Manageability, Performance, Scalability, High Availability, Caching, Distributed Concurrency Control, In-Memory Data Management, NoSQL architectures, etc. He has 45 issued and several pending patents in these areas. Tirthankar has a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur) and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He spent a few years in the PhD program at Stanford, researching NUMA Operating Systems followed by Semistructured Databases, but his PhD was interrupted by Oracle.

    SHASANK CHAVAN

    Shasank Chavan is the Vice President of the Data and In-Memory Technologies group at Oracle. He leads an amazing team of brilliant engineers in the Database organization who develop customer-facing, performance-critical features for an In-Memory Columnar Store which, as Larry Ellison proclaimed, “processes data at ungodly speeds”. His team implements novel SIMD kernels and hardware acceleration technology for blazing fast columnar data processing, optimized data formats and compression technology for efficient in-memory storage, algorithms and techniques for fast in-memory join and aggregation processing, and optimized in-memory data access and storage solutions in general. His team is currently hyper-focused on leveraging emerging hardware technologies to build Oracle's next-generation, highly distributed, data storage engine that powers the cloud. Shasank earned his BS/MS in Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego. He has accumulated 30+ patents over a span of 23 years working on systems software technology.
