Description

Simplify the Creation of Data-Driven Applications with JavaScript
Oracle's Multilingual Engine (MLE), powered by GraalVM, offers a highly performant and enhanced JavaScript engine in Oracle Database 23c on Linux x86-64.

In addition to PL/SQL and Java it is now possible to leverage the Smart DB paradigm with an additional language, JavaScript, opening the database to a huge community of developers. Processing data where they live should offer advantages in performance, scalability, and security. It also allows for a loose coupling between frontend and database, an essential feature for modern application development.

During the session we will provide a guided tour of the JavaScript Live Lab: after an introduction to the Live Lab itself you can explore the contents of the lab in your own pace. Whenever you would like to pause and reflect or get stuck along the way the instructors are there to help you get moving again. All you need is an Oracle account, the database will run in an Oracle provided cloud environment available via a web browser.
