The most recent update to Audit Vault and Database Firewall adds the capability to detect data exfiltration activity by identifying statements that access an unusual amount of data. Join us to review recent changes to Audit Vault and Database Firewall and to learn more about this exciting new capability.

There are TWO identical sessions - just pick the one that works best with your schedule. As always, we start with announcements, then move into a technical presentation and then open the lines for your questions related to database security. The sessions are recorded and the recordings are usually available a few days after the session is held.

Russ is based in Orlando, Florida, USA and has been with Oracle for over twenty years. Leveraging close to thirty years of experience in IT including database, UNIX systems and network administration, he now advises Oracle's customers on secure implementations of information systems technology. Russ' certifications include Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM), Oracle Certified Master (OCM), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Certified Technical Trainer (CTT).

    Angeline Janet Dhanarani is the Principal Product Manager for Oracle Database Security, focusing on core Oracle Database Auditing, and database activity monitoring (DAM) solution with Audit Vault and Database Firewall (AVDF). With 17+ years of experience, Angeline is involved in many customer engagement activities for over a decade at Oracle. Angeline is involved in inbound and outbound product management activities, and is responsible for ensuring successful adoption of DAM solution in many large financial establishments. Angeline closely works with the engineering team to define the product roadmap.

    Ashok Swaminathan

    Ashok Swaminathan is a Sr. Director of Product Management with overall responsibilities for the auditing area in the Oracle Database Security team (Audit Vault and Database Firewall, Data Safe Auditing, core database auditing). He has over 20 years of experience in the enterprise software market covering inbound and outbound product management. Prior to Oracle, he worked at SAP/Sybase, where he led PM activities for SAP HANA machine learning, Sybase ASE database, Database Auditing and other products. Ashok started his career as a software engineer in the hardware test automation field. Ashok has an MBA from The Wharton School, M.S in Computer Engineering from Univ. of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
