I´ve implemented a manual standby procedure for synchronizing a Primary Database with a Standby database, using a slightly modified approach as the one described here: http://managingoracle.blogspot.pt/2012/04/oracle-manual-standby-no-dataguard.html

The simple example i used for a testing scenario works correctly, but the procedure synchronizes ALL database.

Is it possible to use a similar procedure, using Log Shipping, BUT, specifying a single schema, instead of the entire database?

Thanks in advance.

Nope.

Redo logs, and hence redo Log shipping is database-wide.

You could craft all sorts of complicated scenarios using tablespace-point-in-time-recovery, but that would be very hard.

You might to check out

- streams or goldengate
- logical standby
- data pump

in order to get what you want.
