Hi,
In order to configure Standby database I have created one listener "Prod" & TNS Service "To_Stand" on Primary Side.Listener created successfully & its running.But the problem is TNS is not establishing connection with the database.Its saying "No Listener".
Its always happen in Listener & TNS Configuration.Please Help.

TNS: No Listener, means either

1) it is not running
2) the client you are trying to reach it from is not going to the right host or port (and hence thinks there is no-one at the other end).


tnsping To_Stand

will show you the path (ie, host & port) via which you are trying to communicate. Make sure they are valid, then make sure things like firewalls etc are not getting in the way.

the network adapter could not stablish connection

good afternoon sir, i finished installing oracle 18c on my laptop but when i try to test connection or to connect it says the network adapter could not establish connection. please any help. its for study purpose

If you have installed 18c, then you must have installed only the *client* software (because that it all that is currently available for 18c).

Download 12.2 and you'll have more success.
