Hi, is delayed Data Guard in the roadmap for Autonomous database? I've a customer concerned about ransomeware attacks so they want a time gap on their ADG. They are in Amsterdam and will run Cross region ADG to Frankfurt, but would like to have a possiblity to set a delay on updating the Standby ADB.

Hi Trond,
For a customer-controlled lag between a database and a backup we would recommend the use of "Refreshable Clones", as we do not have plans for a delayed Data Guard functionality at this time.
It would require them to Disconnect the Clone from the Source Database and make it into a new instance so that they could connect Applications to that instance instead, in case of a ransomeware attack that leaves them without access to the original ADB.
