Oracle Database release 23.5 is out and it has a brand-new JSON feature: JSON collection tables!
These are tables, which not only store JSON data but also simplify key management. They're fully interoperable with SQL but also with document store APIs like the MongoDB API.
JSON collection tables drastically simplify working with JSON documents in multiple workloads. They're also compatible with JSON relational duality views, enabling users to store JSON without any schema (for example, while an application is being developed) and later move to JSON relational duality views without having to change queries or other database operations.
