Hi,

From 12c onwards, when we install oracle software we can pass the root credentials to run the root.sh script automatically. how to acheive the same when we install the oracle software via response file.
I dont see any parameter in response file to pass the root password. could you please help me to achieve this?

Thanks,

That is not provided because storing a root password in a file is asking for trouble.

After the silent install, the output will inform you what is required as root, eg

Execute Root Scripts in progress.

As a root user, execute the following script(s):
1. /u01/app/oraInventory/orainstRoot.sh
2. /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.4/db_1/root.sh
