Hi Team
Is there any reason why unsecured connection with basic authentication ( http://user:password@server_address ) is working with 11g and not with 12c (12.2.0.1.0)? I am using utl_http package to connect from database servers to the same external server with webservice and I am receiving error 401-Unauthorized for 12c database. ACL has been configured. Is there any relation that operation system is Windows 2008R2 for 11g and Windows 2012 for 12c?
Thank you
Arkadiusz

I'm not aware of any changes which would affect this. If you're getting 401s, you've contacted the remote server. But it's rejecting your credentials.

Which could mean:

- You've entered the wrong credentials
- They've changed your password or locked your account
- There's some form of ACL on the remote server preventing access from your new server

Verify the credentials you have work in a browser or other client on the new database server.
