Hi Tom,
Our database is oracle 11.2.0.3. My customer met an error "ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [156057], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []," when he did 'select * from UPL_SECTOR'. UPL_SECTOR is a table he created by himself. I did the same sql with system account and met similar error "ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [15265], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []". Both of us cannot select or drop that table.
As it is urgent,I apply a patch 20760997 then we found the problem is solved.But I am very curious about the reason. My questions are:
1.why I and my custormer's error parameter is different? his is [156057] while mine is [15265];
2.when I applied patch I restarted database, so the problem is solved by restarting or the patch?

With all ORA-600 errors, you really want to be talking to Support.
Moreover, my advice would be to not apply a patch unless you were specifically instructed to by Support, because we end up where we are now, ie, we don't really know whether the patch has fixed it, or the bounce of the database has fixed it.
Having said that, you still probably have the incident and alert log files for both occurrences - I'd raise an SR with Support to get some assurances that you are not going to encounter this again.
