Hi Tom,

I came across news that the version number's are going to change and use "only last 2 digits of the year" i.e. Oracle 18 and not Oracle 12.2.0.3
I think official news is in the MOS Note 742060.1 – Release Schedule of Current Database Releases.

A Simple Yes / No will do. Any additional information will be a bonus.

The answer will help audience who do NOT have access to Metalink.

Thanks in Advance.

Yes, the release numbering system is changing. The number corresponds to the last two digits of the release year as you suspect.
