Hi Tom,

I have try to copy the two copies of backup as with default format as:

backup as backupset
copies 2
database;

error :ORA-19806: cannot make duplex backups in recovery area

I have check the space in recovery_area, all right.

Please help me to solve the issue.

So where exactly are you backing up to? As the docs say:

It is not possible to duplex backup sets to the fast recovery area

So it doesn't matter how much space you have in the recovery area. It isn't possible!

You also can't duplex to disk and tape at the same time:

RMAN can duplex backups to either disk or tape, but cannot duplex backups to tape and disk simultaneously
