I need a query to find the sequence contention in oracle. Can you please provide it? Thanks in advance.

If you *really* mean 'sequence contention' you would look for sessions that wait on event: 'enq: SQ - contention'.

Of course, when people say "sequence contention" they often really mean something else :-)

In particular, it seems strange that you would look explicitly for sequence contention - wouldn't you look for users/programs/etc having response times that you are not happy with, and then dig into the "why" ?

Where is Tom Kyte gone? I miss him. Did he retire from Oracle? He is no more answering questions on this forum.
Is he in north carolina?
