You Asked

Hello,

If I alter an user table (add a new column) in a dataguard environment from the active node, will that be reflected on the mounted DB of the passive node?

Regards,
Daniel

Yes. DataGuard (we're talking physical standby here) is a "binary copy" of the source database. So it's not like we apply DDL - we simply take every single modification to the database (ddl, dml, etc) and apply that modification to the standby in the same way that we would do a normal database recovery.

That is one of the good things of DataGuard - it is like a continuous test of reliability of your redo logs for recovery purposes.
