Hi

Just read the latest release of the Oracle Database licensing in cloud ( http://www.oracle.com/us/corporate/pricing/cloud-licensing-070579.pdf ), has little concern! Does this mean, we will face doubling our licensing cost if we host our Oracle database on AWS. In case of Oracle cloud, how the licensing will be calculated. Thanks!

I'd love to say that the AskTom are in charge of licensing at Oracle, but that's not the case :-)

But note the footer of the document:

"This document is for educational purposes only and provides guidelines regarding Oracle's policies in effect as of January 23rd , 2017. It may not be incorporated into any contract and does not constitute a contract or a commitment to any specific terms"

So...like just about everything regarding licensing...you should always consult with your local account manager.
