Hi Tom,
we have purged data from very big table and purging is still going on . We are going to migrate that table into partition one . But the data already purged need to be reorg.
My question is do we re org indexes before partition or else we are anyhow creating partition so index creation with partition will re org them .
please suggest ?

If you are restructuring a table, defer index maintenance until all the restructure is completed. Otherwise, you'll most probably be doubling up on effort (and hence duration) somewhere.
It's common practice to set (or allow) indexes to be/become unusable, complete the restructure operations, and then rebuild them.
Obviously if you need to keep applications running during the restructure, that's quite a different exercise.
