Can you please let me know steps to convert non partition table to partition table.

suppose i have sales table in that i want year wise range partition and later in range partition i want list partition.

Please help to achieve this.

Non partition table to composite range list partition convert.

Hello ,

You revert is quite useful for normal non partition table to partition table. but when i try exchange option for non partition table to composite range list partition convert it giving "ora-14291 cannot exchange a composite".

please suggest for same.

exchange is for 'swapping' two like-for-like database structures.

So would exchange a table into a sub-partition, or exchange a partitioned table with one of the partitions in the composite table
