Hi Tom,

I have done installation of GI for standalone and oracle database, with different OS user.

Now, I want to remove GI software only as I am not using ASM for datafiles.
Can I able remove only GI with deinstall utility. I donot want to remove database software as database is up and running

In *theory* yes, because a normal set of circumstances might be:

a) you are running (say) 11.2.0.2 GI + DB
b) you upgrade the GI to 11.2.0.4 in a new home
c) you want to deinstall the 11.2.0.2 GI

and hence the db needs to remain untouched.

But and I *stress* this, you want to

1) Contact Support for a clarification, in particular for your version/platform/etc

2) If possible, try it in a test bed first.

There is often a lot of difference between theory and practice :-)
