Hi,

I would like to know about Difference between Oracle Apps(r12) Database and Oracle Database(11g)?

and Connor said...

These are different things.

We have the Oracle Database - the *storage* for your data.

We also have Oracle Applications - an suite of products to allow enterprises to perform all the standard business functions (payroll, accounts, HR, etc etc etc).

The Oracle Applications stack uses the Oracle Database to store information required for the application to run, and of course, the customer's data.

For Example server a is there,so obviously it contains metadata. If we install Oracle apps in that server a,it creates some objects to store business data.So my question is
Can i see those objects created by Oracle apps In Dba_objects view with a required privilage?

select * from dba_objects

will return all the objects whether they are created by an App install, or anything else.
