Dear TOM
when i impdp a db user with parallel parameter, does it really create the indexes with the parallel degree which i specified? thank you.

It varies from version to version, ie, check out this blog entry

https://blogs.oracle.com/UPGRADE/entry/parallel_index_creation_with_data

but from the docs

http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/SUTIL/GUID-3081A258-0C23-40B0-8487-9C7A0D248E23.htm#SUTIL921

you can see that we do create parallel server processes as well as carving up the import into chunks of different work

"The value you specify for integer specifies the maximum number of processes of active execution operating on behalf of the import job. This execution set consists of a combination of worker processes and parallel I/O server processes."
