Hi,
can you please explain what is the architectural reason for such a difference between charts in IR, IG and chart regions.
For example UI, series ( it can be specified in IG chart and not in IR chart ), type of charts ( in IR we have only 4 charts to choose ).
Is there any plan to make it more standardized? If they all use JET charts, is it possible to put JET chart properites to APEX?
Is it possible that we get motion charts in APEX? ( example https://bost.ocks.org/mike/nations/ )
Integration of Oracle DataVisualization Desktop into APEX?
I use carts for visualization of data in my every day work.

Thank you, I wish you and your team success.

Ozren,

With APEX 18.1 we introduced JET Charts into IRs. As such the charts in IRs and IGs are far more aligned.
The significant difference in underlying architecture means that we may not always achieve full parity in chart capabilities between IRs and IGs.

Chart regions provide the most options / capabilities as you can define multiple series and choose from a much wider selection of chart types and attributes.

THere are no plans to integrate motion charts into APEX.

Oracle DataVisualization Desktop is a desktop tool and not a browser based tool. Therefore, it can not be integrated into APEX.

David
